Product Safety

Food Safe: All pieces are made with dinnerware-safe materials and are safe for food and beverages.

Microwave Safe: Most pieces are microwave safe — I microwave my own pottery all the time! However, pieces containing 10k gold luster, metallic details, or charms should NEVER be placed in the microwave.

Hot Beverages: Yes, you can pour hot water into your pottery. That’s how I make my slightly burnt coffee every morning. ☕😂

Dishwashing: I recommend hand washing your pottery to help preserve its finish and details. While ceramics can be durable, I personally haven't tested every piece in the dishwasher, so hand washing is the safest option.

Handle With Love: Handmade pottery is durable, but it is still ceramic. Dropping or knocking your piece against a hard surface can cause chips, cracks, or breakage.

Avoid Temperature Shock: Ceramics don't love sudden, extreme temperature changes. Avoid taking a piece directly from the refrigerator or freezer and immediately filling it with boiling liquid, for example. Gradual temperature changes help protect your pottery from thermal shock.

Shipping

Shipping Time: Once your order has shipped, it will typically arrive within one week or less. Delivery times may vary depending on weather, holidays, your location, or unexpected carrier delays.

Shipping Carrier: All packages are shipped through USPS, and tracking information will be provided once your order is on its way.

Lost Packages: Once a package has been accepted by USPS, shipping and delivery are outside of my control. I am not responsible for packages that are lost or misdelivered during transit, but I will do my best to provide any information you may need when contacting USPS.

Packaging: I take extra care when packaging every piece because I want your pottery to arrive just as beautiful as when it left my studio. Each order will be securely wrapped and packaged for shipping.

Damaged Orders: While I hope this never happens, ceramics can sometimes be damaged during transit. If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible with photos of the item and packaging so we can work together toward a resolution.

Pricing

Each piece is individually priced based on its size, design, level of detail, materials used, and the time required to create it.

Because everything is handmade by me, the price reflects much more than the materials alone. It includes the entire creative process — from preparing and shaping the clay to trimming, decorating, glazing, firing, and adding all of those special finishing touches that make each piece unique.

When you purchase one of my pieces, you're not simply purchasing pottery. You're supporting an artist, a craft, countless hours of practice, and a small handmade business.

Return Policy
- Because each JMPottery piece is handmade and one of a kind, all sales are final. Items are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Please review all product photos, descriptions, dimensions, and details carefully before completing your purchase. Natural variations in shape, glaze, color, texture, and finish are part of the handmade process and are what make each piece uniquely yours.
- If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact me as soon as possible with photos of the item and packaging so I can review the situation and work with you toward a resolution.
